Change and healing come from two places One is the mind, I think I can I think I can.
The second is the heart, you have to want to make the change to heal. Be the change you wish to see in the world.
I chose massage therapy as a career because I love to help people, and have always found it fascinating how the human body works. I attended Belmont University and got my bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in athletic training. After that I went to Mind Body Institute to become a massage therapist. I am passionate about honing my skills and adding to my modalities, to provide the best care I can for my clients. When not working or learning more, I like to spend time with friends and family, exercise, and play video games.

Sherrell grew up on a small farm in Georgia. Her father was a factory laborer and her mother started her own business caring for disabled and mental health clients in their home. She was taught to work hard to obtain an education and do her best in whatever she undertakes. Sherrell dreamed of becoming a nurse and helping others. She followed that dream, moved to Tennessee, went to school and became a Certified Nursing Assistant of 10 years. But she didn't stop there. She furthered her education and got her state boards to become a Licensed Practical Nurse which she has had for 27+ years and still today. She wanted to get back to a client centered focus and decided to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. Her medical background and education is the perfect combination for a healing massage! As a life-long musician, I have observed many patterns in myself and others that lead to chronic pain and inflammation. Through my own experience of receiving massage, I have become a believer in its effectiveness to relieve these and many other symptoms.
After completing school at MBI (Mind Body Institute) I continued to broaden my scope of practice and became a certified acu cupping provider. It has shown to be extremely helpful dissolving adhesions, increasing the circulation of blood and lymph all while improving flexibility and range of motion.
Meridian tracing, Energy work, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and sports stretching are also tools I incorporate as needed to your massage.
