Change and healing come from two places One is the mind, I think I can I think I can.
The second is the heart, you have to want to make the change to heal. Be the change you wish to see in the world.
Hello!
I chose to pursue a career in massage therapy due to my genuine desire to assist people, coupled with an enduring fascination for the intricacies of the human body. My focus has predominantly revolved around delving into neuromuscular therapy, where I concentrate on utilizing insights from the nervous system to effectively alleviate muscle tension.
My academic journey commenced at Belmont University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in athletic training. Building upon this foundational knowledge, I continued my education at Mind Body Institute to become a massage therapist.
When I'm not working or learning more I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercise, and playing video games.
If you consider meditation of breath work for release of deeply stored tension and energy, then my massage is for you.
As a life-long musician, I have observed many patterns in myself and others that lead to chronic pain and inflammation. Through my own experience of receiving massage, I have become a believer in its effectiveness to relieve these and many other symptoms.
After completing school at MBI (Mind Body Institute) I continued to broaden my scope of practice and became a certified acu cupping provider. It has shown to be extremely helpful dissolving adhesions, increasing the circulation of blood and lymph all while improving flexibility and range of motion.
Meridian tracing, Energy work, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and sports stretching are also tools I incorporate as needed to your massage.
On my journey in search of balanced harmony and sound health. I have the intention of helping everyone I massage find their own way to wellness. I want to encourage clients to participate in self-care. I am so excited to work with you on your journey towards health and recovery.

My name is Barbara Hernandez and I have been a Tennessee licensed massage therapist since April 2014. I have always enjoyed helping others and could not think of a more natural way to ease pain, reduce stress and increase overall health than through massage. I provide more therapeutic, deep tissue massages while still availing the ability to relax and decompress. Taking different classes in all modalities has given me the ability to incorporate the best techniques in all genres to give the most tailored massage to each client.
