Breathe In The Benefits Of Salt

Experience Salt Therapy

Step inside our private, active salt room. Sit in one of the two zero gravity chairs. Breathe in the aerosolized salt particles. Feel the medical-grade salt on your skin. And allow yourself to unwind.

What To Expect

Your 30 minute session takes place in a warm, softly lit room infused with the highest purity salt. It contains no insoluble ingredients and is free from all other contaminants.

How To Prepare For Salt Therapy

  • Wear comfortable clothing. The salt will not harm your clothes, but the salt may be visible on darker fabrics. Due to the private nature of our salt rooms, you may choose to wear a bathing suit or a tank top and shorts to allow more of the salt to reach your skin.
  • Remove makeup and avoid lotions/oils if possible. Clean, makeup-free skin makes it easier for the salt particles to be absorbed. Makeup wipes are provided.
  • Drink plenty of water. Salt exposure can increase thirst. Water is provided after each session.
  • Consider removing contacts. Salt particles in the air may cause irritation for sensitive eyes when wearing contacts.

If you see any salt particles on your clothing, gentle brushing with downward motions can help to remove loose particles. Some people prefer to shake garments outdoors to avoid particle accumulation to car seats or other furniture. It is all personal preference. Any lingering salt on clothing will be removed during your regular laundry cycle.

It is recommended to wait at least 2-3 hours before showering after experiencing salt therapy to allow for maximum skin absorption.

Things To Note

Physical Sensations

You may experience a throat tickling sensation and/or light coughing during or immediately after salt therapy. The throat tickling sensation is typically due to the salt reaching the respiratory pathways. The light coughing is typically due to the thinning of mucus.

During salt therapy, the salt particles enter the nose and mouth. You may taste the salt, but this will fade.

Many people experience breathing improvements within a few hours.

Skin Responses

You may experience slight tingling as the salt settles on your skin.

Some people may experience temporary skin dryness. This is normal. Like with showering, it is recommended to wait a few hours before applying lotion.

For conditions such as eczema or psoriasis, initial irritation may occur before improvement begins. This typically resolves within 24-48 hours.

Sleep and Recovery

Sleep quality typically improves after your first session. Many people report deeper and more restful sleep.
Some people feel energized after experiencing salt therapy while others experience temporary fatigue.
